My name is Israel Jones and I often go by Izzy. I am a Chilean-American, born in the US. I grew up in a then even smaller town, Tooele, UT, and currently live in Salt Lake City. I'm the oldest of three, and am very close with my family. I am a first generation student and got a business degree at the University of Utah, where I now work- supporting the University's and region's startups and deep tech commercialization and research. I love sports and have competed competitively in soccer, basketball, and boxing, and am now a boxing coach in my spare time. I try to get out and do and learn new things as much as I can, because I have large breadth of exposure to what is out there. I have spent ~1.5 years of my life traveling and living abroad for various reasons across 30+ countries. I am also LDS and I owe much of my circumstances and how I want to live, to my faith. In the end, I want to keep seeing more of the world, build my own family, and be a positive force in the community, with special interest in improving medical innovation, economic distress, and equality, agency, and education for all.
